How we started
Our Beginnings
In 2016, 300 volunteers from the Church of Latter Day Saints came to our community for their annual "Make a Difference Day." Our hometown came together to complete projects at the Wedderburn triangle, the Port of Gold Beach entrance and Gold Beach High School. This was the beginning of Gold Beach Main Street, thanks to Ty Wardel!

Make a Difference Day Successes!
Gold Beach Main Street undertook several significant beautification projects at the Northwest Triangle in Wedderburn, the entrance to the Port of Gold Beach and at Gold Beach High School.
This community-driven initiative involved dedicated volunteers working together to transform the landscape, focusing on planting and irrigation to enhance the aesthetics and sustainability of our community.
The Make a Difference Day project strengthened local engagement and fostered a sense of collective pride and ownership over shared public spaces. Eight years later, the plants have matured and taken hold.
